It is typically blue and can range from light to deep blue.
The name Kyanite comes from the the origin of the color Cyan, born from the Greek word κύανος.
This is known in English as kyanos or kuanos and means dark blue.
Kyanite is sometimes referred to as disthene, rhaeticite or cyanite.
It is normally found in Myanmar, Cambodia, Kenya, Nepal, Tibet, Brazil, Switzerland, Russia, and certain states in America.
